U.S. Citizen Services
Welcome to U.S. Citizen Services
The Consular Section of the United States Embassy in Gaborone provides routine services and emergency assistance to American citizens visiting or residing in Botswana.
In spite of a lapse in appropriations, the Department of State will continue passport and visa operations in Botswana as well as provide critical services to U.S. citizens overseas.
For information on the status of Passport agency operations, please visit Travel.State.Gov.
For information on visas or services to U.S. citizens overseas, visit the closest embassy or consulates website. A full list of U.S. embassies and consulates is available at USEmbassy.Gov.
