Immigrant Visas
Diversity Visa Information
The U.S. Embassy is pleased to announce the 2005 Diversity Immigrant Visa Program. The Diversity Immigrant Visa Program is administered on an annual basis by the U.S. Department of State and, though a computer-generated random lottery, makes 50,000 immigrant visas available to persons who are citizens (not permanent residents) from specified countries with low rates of immigration to the United States of America.
All entries for the 2005 Diversity Immigrant Visa Program must be submitted electronically (on-line) between Saturday, November 1, 2003, and Tuesday, December 30, 2003. Applicants may access the electronic diversity visa entry form at: http://www.dvlottery.state.gov/ during the 60-day registration period beginning on November 1, 2003. Paper entries will not/not be accepted. Please note that there is no/no application fee. It is free to enter this lottery.
On June 24, 2003, the U.S. Department of State announced the results of the 2003 Diversity Immigrant Visa Program. Eight (8) of those selected were citizens of Botswana. We advise all those interested in this program to please visit the website and not/not to contact the U.S. Embassy.
