Youth Winners of the "I Have a Dream" Essay Contest Recognized at Embassy Reception

On February 10, 2005, Ambassador Joseph Huggins hosted a reception in honor of the six winners, aged 12-15, of the second annual "I Have a Dream" essay contest organized by PAS Gaborone. The VIP crowd was duly impressed with the students and inspired by their dreams for Botswana. The winners were selected by six Embassy teams who earlier this year visited six regions of Botswana to give talks about Martin Luther King, Jr.

At the suggestion of the Embassy, the students also met with Botswana's President Mogae during their visit.
